MCM Rebrand
BEFORE
The previous logo was simple, modern, but didn’t convey the characteristic of the furniture that was being sold. WIth this in mind, I did a deep dive into the companies inventory, as well as famous MCM pieces and drew inspiration from the bright colors and expressive shapes.
Thought Process
I originally attempted to make the brand name stack in the shape of a loveseat or small couch. After pitching this to the client, it was clear the MidCentury had to be one word- on one line. That shift in formatting pushed me towards playing with guiding shapes around the text vs using the text AS the shape.
